I am currently on the lookout for a VMware Architect for my new client
who is an Irish-owned IT provider who has multiple offices across
Europe. The candidate will be responsible for system design and
support of multiple diverse production environments, planning and
performing installations, upgrades, migrations, and troubleshooting
infrastructure issues.
_RESPONSIBILITIES_
Architect Solutions for greenfield or brownfield sites based on a list
of customer or internal requirements.
Provide technical assistance to the Pre-Sales team to correctly solve
proposals and tender responses.
Provide technical and procedural guidance to wider team members.
Facilitate change management in conjunction with our customers?
policies and procedures and sit on the internal CAB review board.
Work on escalated requests or incidents from Level 2 Engineers, where
required.
Diagnose complex technical issues and involve appropriate resources to
speed problem resolution e.g., 3rd party vendors.
Provide follow-up status to customers in accordance with specific
customer SLA?s.Manage and maintain the core infrastructure.
Perform other duties as assigned
Technical Experience
Strong technical experience with VMware Validated Designed solutionsv
Center and vSphere 5.x ? 7.x, vSAN, NSX. Or vCloud Foundationsv
Cloud Director experience a bonusv
Realize Suite Experience
Strong knowledge of OEM server, storage & networking solutions (Dell,
IBM, HP).Knowledge of Software-Defined Data Centre designs
Firewalls and network routing to support VMWare systems
_EXPERIENCE WITH_ DR & Backup Solutions
Cloud experience with AWS or Azure will be beneficial
Industry Certificates
VMware ? VCP6/6.5VMware ? VCAP6-DCV Design or Deploy OR VCAP6-CMA
Design or Deploy Certification.
Working towards becoming VMware Certified Implementation Expert &
Design Expert. (VCIX6-DCV VCDX6-DCV, VCIX6-CMA, VCDX6-CMA)
